Humanitarian Assistance to Internally Displaced Persons in South Africa: Lessons Learned Following Attacks on Foreign Nationals in May 2008

This report, commissioned by Oxfam GB, evaluates the humanitarian response to the internal displacement of non-nationals in the Gauteng and Western Cape provinces of South Africa in May 2008. Both government and civil society responses are examined with the aim of  learning lessons for future disaster management and increase the effectiveness of future emergency responses in the country.
