Who produces it? How is it being used? Our aim is to bring KM into the forced migration conversation by calling attention to some basic, but crucial questions about knowledge and its practice.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mmg.mpg.de\/staff-members-scholarship-holders-and-guests\/senior-research-partners\/prof-loren-landau\/\">Loren Landau<\/a> (2012) in his article, <a href=\"http:\/\/jrs.oxfordjournals.org\/content\/early\/2012\/05\/02\/jrs.fes005.full.pdf+html\"><i>Communities of Knowledge or Tyrannies of Partnership: Reflections on North\u2013South Research Networks and the Dual Imperativ<\/i>e<\/a>, takes up some of these thorny questions. He argues that the knowledge partnerships between western scholars and southern researchers are often imbalanced.
