Centre for Immigration and Multicultural Studies (CIMS)

The Centre for Immigration and Multicultural Studies (CIMS) is a university-based research centre and information resource. CIMS research projects have included public policy analysis, quantative and qualitative research on settlement issues, and editorial management of co-operative research in relevant fields. CIMS also edited the second edition of The Australian People, an encyclopedia of the nation, it people, and their origins which was published in the late 1990s. The Centre’s library and pictoral collection are available to visitors. Online services include: information on the Centre, links to related institutions in Australia and elsewhere, and the CIMS newsletter, Polyphony.
