Applications are invited for UNHCR Internships offered to International applicants. UNHCR does not provide any financial support for interns. For the internship to be worthwhile and effective, they will normally last no less than two months and no more than six months. The different departments of UNHCR in the Geneva and Budapest offices offer internships to young people throughout the year.
Field of Internship: This will depend on the requirements of the unit/office, intern’s qualifications and interests. Most interns work on a project which will benefit both them and UNHCR, in fields such as refugee protection (legal), international relations, administration, field work, etc.

How to Apply: The mode of application is online. Applications must be submitted through the online application link. Since not all offices outside Headquarters have access to the central database, it is recommended that, in addition to the online application, requests for internships be also submitted directly by separate mail with a covering letter to the field/branch office concerned.
