Controlling Security.

This collective volume gathers a series of security-related briefing notes. In analysing the conceptual frame and several operational aspects of the EU Justine and Home Affairs policies, the contributors address the issue of the current state of democratic control in the law enforcement realm. The insights they offer us into the many different stakes lying beneath the design and implementation of present European politics thus go together with recommendations as to how to protect security while enhancing accountability.
