Republic of Korea (South Korea): a human rights agenda for the Presidential election: open letter to all candidates

Ahead of the Presidential elections in the Republic of Korea (South Korea), Amnesty International’s Secretary General Pierre Sané wrote to all candidates to urge them to commit themselves to taking specific steps to promote and protect human rights in South Korea. The organization urged South Korean voters, in deciding on their vote, to take into account the proposed human rights policies of the candidates.
