Russian Federation: violations continue, no justice in sight: a briefing paper on human rights violations in the context of the armed conflict in the Chechen Republic

This report is based on ongoing research conducted from Amnesty International’s International Secretariat in London, including contact with relatives of victims of human rights abuses, lawyers and representatives of local and international organizations working in the region, including the Memorial Human Rights Centre, the Russian-Chechen Friendship Society, the Danish Refugee Council, and the Stichting Russia Justice Initiative, and is an update to previous Amnesty International reports.
