The AMEP Research Centre provides research, professional development, publications and information services to the Adult Migrant English Program nationally. Funded by the Australian Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs, the Macquarie University-based Research Centre is responsible for the initiation, co-ordination and dissemination of research relevant to English language teaching and learning for newly arrived migrants. Research areas include settlement and cross cultural issues, language training methodology, learner assessment and program evaluation.
