CEMRI – Centre for the Study of Migration and Intercultural Relations (Lisbon, Portugal)

The Centre for the Study of Migration and Intercultural Relations is an autonomous research unit within the Institute for Post-Graduate Studies of Universidade Aberta, the Portuguese Open University. Active since 1989, it was recognised in 1994 by the Ministry of Science and Technology as an advanced research training institution in the area of migrations and intercultural relations. The Centre’s research activities are organised in three main program areas: social phenomena taking place within multicultural environments; gender and equal opportunity studies; health, culture and development related issues. It organises Master Degree Programs in Intercultural Relations, on Women Studies and on Communication in Healthcare.>
