Podcast: Harrell-Bond lecture by Jan Egeland “Beyond blankets: in search of political deals and durable solutions for the displaced”

 

On 18 November 2009 Jan Egeland gave the tenth annual Harrell-Bond lecture. Mr Egeland is the former UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator. He is currently director of the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs. The lecture was entitled ‘Beyond blankets: in search of political deals and durable solutions for the displaced’.

The Harrell-Bond Lecture is organised annually by the Refugee Studies Centre, named in honour of the Centre’s founder, Dr Barbara Harrell-Bond.
